Before It’s News tapped the Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC) to find out what 15 experts think are the best tools for getting customer feedback. It’s a classic, but my favorite is Desk.com. I’ve been using it for the past 12 months for Due.com and other projects, and have found it to be fast, effective, and user friendly. It’s helped us to get feedback, foster questions, and suss out suggestions from our customers, too. As a bonus, it’s easy to install.
Another pro recommended Wyzerr, which steers clear of traditional surveys that customers shy away from, implementing smart forms that gamify the process. Somebody else went really old school and has found that simply asking customers is the best way to get feedback (of course, this will work to various degrees depending on how much in-person contact you have, if any).
There’s also the importance of analyzing the data you have instead of focusing solely on how to get feedback. Make the most of the data already at your hands before adding more features, tech, or work into the system. It’s part of big data management, but “little data” is key, too.
